Aussie Autumn

It's been a while since I've posted. I guess there is not too much to report. School has started up again (I'm now in my third week), so it's back to the books and paper writing. Thankfully, I only have two classes because of the two that I took over the summer. I've managed to set my schedule so that I only have classes Tuesday and Thursday, which is nice. With just a few months left here, and since my Fridays are free, I'm packing in as much travel as I can on the weekends.

This is the beginning of the academic year for Aussies, and, accordingly, it coincides with the advent of autumn. I noticed that some of the trees on campus started losing their leaves several weeks ago (though with none of the colorful fanfare that we see in the northeast). And the days are noticeably shorter now. I remember when the sun would wake me up before 6, but now it's still dark around 6:30AM. It's a bit chillier, too, especially in the morning (my toes are cold right now). Autumn always makes me nostalgic, I guess because it has always signaled the start of a new year, even when I'm not in school (just the memory of it, I guess).

Well, I hope spring weather comes soon for you all. I, on the other hand, am going to try to let go of summer...
